Less than 6 months: 0 points

6 to 11 months: 1 point

1 to 2 years: 2 points

2 to 3 years: 3 points

3 to 4 years: 4 points

4 to 5 years: 5 points

5 years or more: 6 points

Language proficiency

French: up to 22 points

English: up to 16 points

Age

18 to 35 years old: 16 points

36 to 45 years old: 11 points

46 to 50 years old: 6 points

51 years old or older: 1 point

Other factors

Having a job offer in Quebec: 6 to 10 points

Having a spouse or common-law partner who is also applying to the program: 5 points

Having a child: 2 points per child

Having a valid job offer in Quebec: 6 to 10 points

Having a Quebec degree: 6 points

Having a relative who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and lives in Quebec: 4 points

The Quebec government uses a selection grid to rank applicants to apply for permanent residence.

Priority processing

The Quebec Skilled Worker Program offers priority processing for certain categories of candidates. Here are the categories that are eligible for priority processing:

Candidates who are already living in Quebec and have a valid work permit or who have graduated from a recognized Quebec educational institution.

Candidates who have a job offer in Quebec and are currently living outside of Canada.

Candidates who are currently living in Canada on a valid work permit and have a job offer in Quebec.
